The heart rate is often rapid. The uterus is swollen, tender, and soft.

Uterine infections  (Endometritis) or what is known as inflammation of the lining of the uterus is a condition that may affect women, and may cause fertility problems have and hinder their attempts to give birth, what do we know about uterine infections?

What are uterine infections?

  • Undergo a hysteroscopy.
  • The presence of placenta in the uterus after delivery.

  • The presence of bacterial infections in the uterus.
  • Undergo frequent internal vaginal examinations within a short period.
  • The birth process is a bit long.
  • Incidence  of anemia  (Anemia).
  • Early rupture of membranes during pregnancy.
  • Infection with chorioamnionitis.
  • Pelvic inflammatory disease.

Symptoms of uterine infections

Symptoms of uterine infections often appear in the form of problems and disruptions in the  normal menstrual cycle , and these are the most important symptoms of uterine infections in general:

  • fever or chills;
  • Unusual vaginal bleeding.
  • An unusual feeling of softness and tenderness in the uterus when the abdomen is palpated.
  • Pain during intercourse .
  • Constant feeling of tiredness.
  • Abnormal vaginal discharge.
  • An abnormal rise in the number of white blood cells.
  • Abdominal or pelvic pain.
  • Constipation or  digestive problems .

Uterine infections treatment

If endometriosis is diagnosed, you must:

  • Starting the necessary treatments, of which the appropriate antibiotics are among the most important.
  • Getting rid of any infections, pus, placenta or an instrument that may have caused the uterine infection in the first place.
  • Performing curettage and scraping operations to control infections and ensure the continuation of pregnancy,  if the woman is pregnant.
  • Resorting to hysteroscopy or surgery, if the inflammation does not respond to any of the above solutions .

Complications of uterine infections

Uterine infections, if not treated in time, can cause the following problems and complications:

  • infertility ;
  • Pelvic infections.
  • Pus and pus in the vagina or uterus.
  • Inflammation of the blood .
  • Anaphylactic shock.

Ways to prevent uterine infections

It is possible to protect against uterine infections by taking the following preventive steps:

  • Protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Take all precautions for safe sex, such as using condoms .
  • Use appropriate antibiotics, in order to prevent uterine infections that follow the birth process .
